An RCD that keeps tripping or a socket that has gone dead is frustrating, but most faults are quicker to solve than people expect once they are approached methodically.

Common causes

The usual suspects are a faulty appliance, moisture in an outdoor circuit, a damaged cable, or a worn accessory. A breaker that trips the moment you reset it is telling you something is still at fault on that circuit.

How we find it

We isolate circuits one at a time and use proper test equipment to narrow the fault down to a specific section rather than guessing. That keeps the visit efficient and the repair targeted.

When to call straight away

A burning smell, a hot socket or scorch marks are reasons to stop using the circuit and call us immediately. For anything that is not urgent, we will book you in promptly and give honest advice in the meantime.
